Qtask, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated tester who is capable of working in a fast paced environment. The tester's responsibilities include writing and following a plan for testing a web-based application. The tester will track the progress of the product through all phases of the test cycle. Additionally, using their bilingual skills, some product localization is required. This person must have good written communication skills.

Qtask is a software company that's actually run by people who know how to develop software. Prolific is seeking a Client/Server (CS) guy and a MySQL/Database guy (DBA) who thoroughly loves building optimal large-scale , fault-tolerant, and easily administrated databases. Prolific is a "different" kind of small company, and is building something new and inspiring. If you are looking to be part of a great team where you can learn and share, this is the place to be.

Duties include designing and overseeing the entire database system: database performance tuning, application optimization, data modeling, hardware design, network topology, monitoring systems, fault tolerance, replication, security, and other related tasks. You should have a holistic approach to what makes the best database and previous experience of working on large-scale 24x7 databases. Many performance optimizations require extensive knowledge of the application in question. You should be capable of fully understanding the application that is driving the database.

Qualifications
  • Healthy understanding of: RedHat Linux programming, Python/C/C++, HTML, and other languages.
