"Make the World a Better Place" Day

Every company has its own culture and Qtask is no exception. One of the things we're most proud of is our "Make the World a Better Place" policy. After learning of one employee’s intervention on behalf of an incapacitated skateboarder in sub-zero temps, Qtask decided to make it official: each and every Qtask team member would have the benefit of time and resources to better someone else’s world. In practice, this translates into an additional personal day per year, during which the employee is free to take the kids to soccer or plant trees in the municipal park, plus $100 per person for the charity of that person’s choice.

Furthering this spirit, on the heels of our new president's inauguration and speech, Russell Mix, Qtask's CEO and co-founder launched a company wide initiative allowing each team member to offer Qtask for free to the non-profit of his or her choice. And Qtask recently announced the creation of vacation time-share, in which employees can donate their unused vacation days to a company pool, or even another employee in need of time off. For those going through tough times, or those simply suffering from start-up burnout, this new policy speaks volumes to the overriding sense of humanity permeating Qtask's code of conduct.

Acting locally, after all, has myriad interpretations.
