Qtask History
It has been said that necessity is the mother of invention. That certainly describes
the genesis of Qtask. In 1998, Qtask's predecessor, Prolific Publishing had 50 employees in multiple locations in California, worked for clients in various states, and was struggling to produce just two products at a time, on long development cycles. To survive, we initiated substantial changes in how we communicated ideas, work methods, data sharing and, most important, how we got things done. Within five years the company slimmed down to 20 people, still in multiple - and now international - locations, yet we were able to produce seven or more products a year. And, we became profitable. The success of those changes spurred the development of a web-based service that would help us build more products, on fast cycles, with the most efficient teams possible. That service and the company became Qtask.
Now, we've launched Qtask as a unified collaboration environment to provide transparent and dynamic collaboration capabilities, to effectively manage all team members to their - and our - highest levels of success.
In short, Qtask:
- Increases productivity and bottom line results.
- Tracks and organizes all tasks and projects over time.
- Eliminates the problem of lost, misplaced or overwritten documents.
- Exists in a private, secure, unified collaboration environment.
