The Future Business Leaders of America - Phi Beta Lambda is the world’s largest and oldest non-profit student business organization. The California Chapter has an estimated 5,000 members. They hold numerous activities throughout the year such as conferences, charitable fundraising, recruiting, skill training and competitive events. The student leaders and faculty advisers needed a centralized way to work together from disparate campuses that was more effective than conference calls and email, which were both limiting and lead to lost information.

The student leaders and advisers of the Future Business Leaders of America now primarily use Qtask for group collaboration. They share files and have discussions without the overload of email. Before using Qtask, projects and discussions were either not documented or roughly documented, but now all of that is captured with a new level of transparency and accountability, so everyone knows what everyone is working on and responsible for.

Recently, Future Business Leaders added the use of Qtask’s wiki, contacts and calendar features. There is a great deal of turn-over rate from year to year, due to incoming and outgoing student leaders. As a result, a great deal of knowledge like conference topics, contacts, pitfalls and postmortems were lost. Now the leadership team can pass along that learning by using Qtask as a central knowledge base to future groups and other chapters.
